We are pleased to announce the release of Sam’s Interactive Reader Version 1.5 today. We have been working hard to create the best customer experience possible and hope you enjoy this new release.
How to Upgrade/Install
If you already have Sam’s Interactive Reader installed, simply start the application and it will find and download the update auto-magically. If you don’t have it installed you can download it from our website right now.
What’s New
In this latest release we have addressed some significant bug fixes and added a few new features as well. Many of the new features are back-end enhancements but some or very noticeable:
- New nickname selection tool to enhance security and privacy in public facing areas.
- Super Reader Points now sync when using multiple installations for the same account.
- Sam’s Interactive Reader Points now sync with Sam’s Fish Bowl Feeder Points (Facebook App)
- Super Reader Points area has had a make over… check it out.
Most notable of the new features will be the nickname selection tool. Though new users will not notice anything out of the ordinary, this will be a required selection when you upgrade and replace your current system nickname. We would have liked to allowed everyone to keep their self-built nicknames, this method was a clear choice in allowing us to control our growth as we move into the new year.
Most Notable Bug Fixes:
- Forgotten password sync- Application was sometimes not detecting if a password reset was requested
- Application crash when entering the Super Reader Points section while not online
- Improved network detection capabilities to insure a smoother user experience
